Marg Kutz is one of the first clergywomen in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, a pioneer in her own right. She served six churches in 39 years, and in retirement, she served another six churches as an interim pastor. In 2013, she traveled to South Sudan with another clergywoman, where they started Abukloi Secondary School. www.abukloi.org

She grew up in Western Pennsylvania, the third in a family of seven children. She’s a graduate of East Brady High School, Clarion University, Wesley Theological Seminary, and Virginia Union University Samuel Proctor School of Theology.

Marg and her husband live in central Virginia. They have two grown children and four grandchildren. In her spare time, she paints and volunteers in her church.
